There’s secrets to be revealed in Guardians of the Galaxy, an epic battle in Red Lanterns and, oh, the end of the buildup to “The Death of Wolverine” to be enjoyed this week.

Previously in Guardians of the Galaxy…  The mysterious figure of Angela was sucked into our galaxy due to some crazy breaking of the space-time continuum (totally the fault of the Avengers). Now, she’s pretty disorientated trying to find her place in universe with the help of the Guardians of the Galaxy, who have just welcomed Agent Venom into their ranks!

And things haven’t exactly gone well for the team, with their greatest enemies capturing and separating them, leaving Venom stranded alone on a strange alien world…

Previously in Aquaman… It’s time for a brave new era for Atlantis. After having been deposed by the Dead King, a long-forgotten king of Atlantis, Arthur Curry has reclaimed his birthright – the throne of Atlantis! With Mera at his side once more, Aquaman has pledged himself to attempt to bring peace and harmony between Atlantis and the surface world.

Only there are certain sections of Atlantis who aren’t too happy with the current arrangement, and are plotting the murder of their current royal family…

Marvel have been teasing it for a while now, and it’s almost here, folks: “The Death of Wolverine” is under a month away! It’s always surprising when Marvel decide to kill off one of their most popular characters, but I’m sure we’re all curious as to just what Marvel have in store for their clawed mutant.

Oh, and the awesome Original Sin continues, whilst Batman finally catches up with the events of Eternal.

Previously in Fantastic Four… Having returned to Manhattan and the Baxter Building after a year of travelling time and space, the Fantastic Four have settled back into their life nicely. Reed and Sue are the heads of the Future Foundation once more, Johnny’s music career looks set to resume, and Ben has rekindled his romance with Alicia Masters.

So what went wrong? Well, an inter-dimensional portal opened in the Baxter Building, allowing an invading alien horde to swarm Manhattan en masse. With a little help, the Fantastic Four managed to neutralise the creatures by detonating a paralysing bomb, but it came at a great cost – Johnny’ powers! And to make matters worse, the Fantastic Four are now on trial for reckless behaviour!

There really are some cracking comics out this week, with both Marvel and DC pushing out some great material at the moment. Batman Eternal continues, whilst we sadly come to the conclusion of Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino’s Green Arrow run. But it’s not all goodbyes this week, as a certain Otto Octavius returns in an extra-sized rendition of the Superior Spider-Man!
