It is looking a fairly slender week in terms of issues hitting the shelves for us, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t some top quality stuff out there, with DC’s highly anticipated Animal Man and Batman Annuals being released.

Artwork from one of 2000AD’s unsung heroes,Garry Leach,inextricably linked for me,with Judge Anderson(see 2000AD graphic albums&Meg227Jan’05)and his ability to draw women well!
Primarily known as an inker,Leach is a great artist in his own right as evidenced in a series of one-off Dredd’s(“Attack of the 50ft Woman”,”The Comeback”,”Ten Years Later”).
These pin-ups were printed originally on the back cover of Progs555-558(Jan’88)and it perhaps would’ve been interesting to see Leach take on interior art duties on Death and the Dark Judges..
