Moving to a student house for University today but as always, something has gone wrong. For me, it’s the fact that previous tennants didn’t cancel their internet, so we have to wait a couple of weeks for that to end and get it set up. =/ When I return, expect more of the same and some spam though. Stay cool tumblr.

Review - Secret Six: Six Degrees Of Devastation
Posted earlier on Population GO, but here it is on my tumblr now. Writer: Gail Simone Penciller: Brad Walker Inker: Jimmy Palmiotti Spinning out from the aftermath of Villains United, the Secret Six (or should that be Five?) have to rescue a teammate before recruiting the aid of the Mad Hatter to defend themselves from Dr. Psycho’s revenge. Also what is affecting Scandal Savage behind the...

And so it begins
Submitted first review to Population GO - it’s a reworked and expanded version of my Batman: Arkham Asylum review. Hopefully I’ve done everything right, and all will be well. Oh, and I’ve updated the original review here as well. I’ll do this for each review which I put up there and expand upon.

Another little bit of news...
For some reason, I was approached to become a member of Population GO. After having a quick look around, I decided to take them up on this offer since well, I’m a bit of a geek. This might surprise you, but over there I’ll be writing about comics. I know, shocker right? Anyway, normal service will continue here but I’ll be sharing my reviews over there, as well as trying to...

Review - Sentry: Reborn
This was written a few years ago and briefly summed up my thoughts on this mini after I’d just seen Reynolds for the first time in New Avengers. You know, back in the day when he was an interesting concept with promise. Writer: Paul Jenkins Penciller: John Romita Jr. Inkers: Rick Magyar, Mark Morales I was looking forward to reading this as I hoped to discover more about the Sentry,...

I'm a little late with this...
… but Batman: Arkham Asylum is awesome. I recently listed Batman: Vengeance as my favourite DC video game here for a 30 days meme, but I’ve decided that BAA takes that spot with ease. I’ve only played it for a couple of hours and still am pretty crap, but it’s definitely got me hooked. Despite being simple and making you feel badass, the combat system isn’t that...

Review - Villains United
Writer: Gail Simone Pencillers: Dale Eaglesham, Val Semeiks Inkers: Prentis Rollins, Wade Von Grawbadger Held to be one of the better countdown mini-series to Infinite Crisis, I have heard many positive things about this mini-series, and the subsequent Secret Six material published afterwards. The biggest question is however, what the hell happened to Thomas Blake to transform Catman into a...

Review - Superman: World Without A Superman
This is another one of my really old and small reviews. I never review the first part of the trilogy, so my thoughts very briefly are that The Death of Superman was a pretty solid read. It was pretty much all action, which helped to show the scale of the threat that Doomsday posed, but I felt this was prehaps played out a bit too much. Too much of one thing. And now that’s out of the...

Review - Formerly Known as the Justice League
Writers: JM DeMatteis and Keith Giffen Penciller: Kevin Maguire Inker: Josef Rubinstein This mini-series revolves around DeMatteis and Giffen reuniting the characters and tone of the 80s series, Justice League International, which is even jokingly referenced in the comic itself, where Ralph claims everyone is nostalgic for that period. What we have here then, is a fun romp involving misfits...

Review - The Flash: Blitz
This was the first Flash trade that I ever bought, and I loved it. It really helped get me into the character (Wally West in particular), and started the Geoff Johns love. I even ended up getting the rest of his run on the Flash. Pretty sure this is another one of my really early reviews too, which I think shows. Writer: Geoff Johns Pencillers: Scott Kolins, Phil Winslade, Alberto Dose...

Review: Green Lantern: In Brightest Day
Yet another old review. Maybe have a fresh one coming soon though… Editor: Geoff Johns Writers: Various Pencillers: Various Inkers: Various This is a collection of Green Lantern stories that Geoff Johns feels have been significant in forming the Green Lantern mythos, with threads that he has picked up on when writing the character, and tied together to stay faithful to continuity....
